Thorecon® Rigid Fixation System
The Thorecon® Rigid Fixation System is designed with a focus on simplicity and ease of use. This single use system incorporates the proven performance of plates and screws with the banding effect of an amorphous cable. The cable is designed to be passed with minimal trauma and without the need of additional instrumentation. Once tensioned, the cable expands in width, creating greater surface area on the bone and reducing the risk of pull-through.
Features
- Disposable single-use sterile system
- Single sized screw
- Amorphous cable
- No central sterile processing required for Implant Kit
- Osteoporotic indications*
Benefits
- Instruments and implants are included sterile packed in one kit helping reduce inefficiencies in
reprocessing and sterilization costs - Double lead thread reduces insertion time*
- Amorphous cable
- Provides 360-degree circumferential fixation
- Expands 2.2X times when tensioned to increase surface area and reduce the risk of bone pull-through*
- Does not require additional instrumentation or a sternal punch
- Unique design allows for emergent re-entry
- MRI-compatible stainless steel
- Individually packaged plates provide intraoperative flexibility to match the needs of each patient
Tritium® SCP Sternal Cable Plate
The Tritium® SCP System is a novel approach to enhancing the stability and strength of traditional sternal closure techniques. Using a unique load-sharing concept, the Tritium® SCP device can be implanted to distribute lateral force across the osteotomy, reducing the risk of lateral “pull-through.” The device is designed to share cerclage forces across the surface of the plate and through its osteo-specific screws.
Increased Stability
- Offers stability in all planes of motion
- Distributes load, reducing risk of “pull-through”
- 360-degree cerclage
- 1.3mm diameter Titanium cable
- Plate and screw thread locking
System Benefits
- Compression across the osteotomy
- Uniquely designed thin plates for anatomical fit
- Cancellous screws designed for the sternum
- Specially designed instrumentation
O.R. Benefits
- Minimal tissue preparation
- Fewer sizing steps
- Reduced learning curve
